POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure the management of people and results related to planning, scheduling and production controlling processes. Ensure compliance with the production demands prioritizing safety, quality, deadline reliability and the best costs, applying the lean methodology to ensure the business excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

PEOPLE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and lead high-performance teams
  • People training and development to execute technical activities in a teamwork environment
  • Establish performance evaluation routines
  • Provide feedback on people's performance, attitude and behavior aiming for personal development and new opportunities
  • Support the team members on their career plan
  • Establish retention and succession plan
  • Establish the employees hiring and promotion strategies
  • Ensure a healthy work environment practicing the company values and corporate culture pillars
  • Establish and monitor the department performance to reach the company targets
  • Ensure compliance with the company policies
  • Disseminate the Lean Manufacturing culture through the Embraer Business Excellence Program across the team members
  • Ensure the department processes standardization through the entire company including international sites

RESULTS AND PROCESSES MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure the establishment of the PIPO (Integrated Production and Operation Plan), according to the capabilities of the site, evaluating the constraints and proposing solutions to meet the business strategies.
  • Coordinate production and deliveries according to the plan agreed with the business unit
  • Coordinate and Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and propose solutions through Make or Buy policies or investments in industrial capacity.
  • Support the company strategic decisions through the load & capacity management and optimization of the company resources and assets
  • Develop and integrate production plans for aircraft assembly, paint, interiors assembly, flight preparation and new developments
  • Ensure the planning policies development and management
  • Ensure production management through integrated tools
  • Ensure the governance of the MRP routines such as analysis and demand conversion into production orders, production documents management and materials demand
  • Manage the Production Control activities to ensure the accomplishment of what was planned, reviewing the schedule when there are deviations.
  • Ensure on time delivery with prevention and communication strategies
  • Ensure the management of stock levels, work in progress (WIP) and inventory turn.
  • Develop and monitor the results through KPIs
  • Develop and implement projects to improve the Planning processes
  • Ensure the management of product modification (CCB) within the production process
  • Support the application of Lean methodology for process management and improvements

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and Experience:

  • B.S. in Business, Materials Management, Engineering, Aviation Management or a related field preferred.
  • Prefer five (5) or more years working in a logistics role.
  • Prefer three (3) or more years in a leadership role.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Specialization schools, knowledge or another technical knowledge needed in the role.
  • Project Management
  • Solid knowledge of Lean Production Concepts.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Understanding the logistics of moving equipment and materials from location to location
  • Understand technical management and quality assurance procedures.
  • Able to build, motivate, train, coach, and manage teams.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Flexible work schedule to support delivery process.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project; MES; and SAP.
  • Able to present to customers, leadership and staff.

Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as needed.
  • Ability to periodically work outdoors exposed to the elements
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations, if a requirement of DOT regulations.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand, walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • May be required, on occasion, to be in a small, confined area.
