Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in Melbourne, FL to drive international pipeline and growth. The role will support NGAS’s global offices, expatriate personnel, and senior leadership on strategy, capture, and expansion initiatives across the Aeronautics sector.
In this position the candidate will be a catalyst for NGAS to help drive international business growth and meet strategic objectives. The position will work closely with the Multi-Domain Command & Control (MDC2) business unit, customers, regional partners, and internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities, align market assessments with mission-solution strategies, and guide the enterprise through Northrop Grumman’s Business Acquisition Process (BAP). A deep understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Customer Sales (DCS), and U.S. Government export policy is essential, as is the ability to articulate platform mission utility to both internal and external audiences.
Core responsibilities
Strategic growth & market alignment – translate market and competitive assessments into actionable lines of effort; map regional priorities to NGAS mission-solution strategies for AEW, surveillance, and unmanned aerial platforms
Regional growth strategy – lead the creation and execution of an integrated regional-growth roadmap that supports both NGAS sector goals and corporate objectives; provide business-development input to senior leadership, capture teams, and program managers
MDC2 campaign support – develop and maintain the campaign plan (planning, programming, execution overview) and facilitate customer collaboration, ensuring alignment of warfighter gaps and requirements with NGAS solutions
NGAS business-development operations – plan and coordinate participation in conferences, seminars, trade shows, and sponsorships; conduct red-team/black-hat reviews, competitive analysis, and independent research
Procurement and opportunity maturation – research national procurement requirements and processes across target regions; advance qualified opportunities through the Business Acquisition Process, ensuring they are ready for capture activities
Strategic planning support – contribute to annual and long-range strategic plans; identify, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of near-term and long-term business opportunities; align pursuit activities for optimal cost efficiency
Capture execution – lead responses to customer Requests for Information (RFI) and support the development of proposals for Requests for Proposal (RFP), including new franchise opportunities.
Stakeholder engagement – cultivate relationships with international customers, NGAS expatriates, and internal partners; deliver clear, persuasive briefings that convey platform capabilities and NGAS value

Basic Qualifications:
Must either have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of related experience or a master’s degree with a minimum of 8 years related experience or a PhD a minimum of 6 years related experience; alternatively, equivalent military or business and program experience in lieu of formal business development experience accepted
Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations or employee resource groups to achieve a common goal and developing deep customer relationships through understanding and trust
Knowledge of FMS, DCS, and U.S. Government export controls and related policy
Familiarity with DoD acquisition cycles, requirements generation, and contract execution
Experience assessing international aerospace markets, competitive landscapes, and customer operational gaps for military aircraft and related systems
Ability to work effectively with expatriates, overseas offices, and multinational stakeholders
Ability and willingness to travel within the US and internationally
Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Preferred Qualifications:
Active US DoD Top Secret clearance
MS or MA degree
Deep understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Financing (FMF) and US export policy and processes
Ability to apply entrepreneurial approaches to expand NGAS markets. Ability to integrate NGAS capabilities into mission level capabilities

Primary Level Salary Range: $151,500.00 - $227,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
