You will be the Proposal Analyst for the Proposal Management team. Our team is responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates that enable winning proposals and drive profitable manufacturing decisions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Proposal Analyst you will be responsible for estimating material costs and preparing comprehensive cost reports for customer proposals.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Estimate material costs for manufacturing based on request-for-proposal (RFP) data.
  • Analyze specifications, sketches, blueprints, and bills of material to calculate production costs.
  • Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and maintain cost models and historical cost databases.
  • Prepare and present cost reports to management, contracts personnel, customers, and price auditors.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Operations or Supply Chain Management or related discipline is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Experience in Materials Cost Estimating proposal process and procedures.

Desired Skills:

Experience in Materials Cost Estimating (MCE). Experience with Request for Proposals (RFP), FAR, DOD environment or material estimating. Familiar with the production process, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), SAP Procure to Pay (P2P), and Electronic Financial System (EFS). Ability to function with a variety of inputs. Ability to analyze an MCE BOM for estimating purposes.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
