POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor role includes responsibility for both human and material resources, and the management of production operations including scheduling, documentation, and equipment maintenance. Production manager is also responsible for implementation and continuous improvement of the Production System ensuring customer satisfaction with products and services with right quality, cost, and on-time deliveries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assure the execution of production activities with high quality, costs as planned and in accordance with the production plan.
- Develop and execute the Action Plan, aligned with company’s targets / objectives disseminate Embraer PA philosophy.
- Develop, maintain and manage EAST production lines and activities including all employees assigned to the production team.
- Take necessary initiatives to develop work procedures and continuously improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes under the scope of responsibility using P3E concepts.
- Implement and manage both the BIQ (Built-In-Quality) process and team to provide continuous improvement and creative solutions to improve both quality and efficiency of each production model.
- Integrate and manage response teams in correlation to the “Andon System” to provide quick solutions and turnarounds to bring the production line back online.
- Work closely with master scheduler and planning teams to anticipate a “Push or Pull” condition for the production line ensuring 100% on time delivery to customers.
- Establish departmental standards, goals and objectives, and monitor achievement of these objectives.
- Coordinate programs to develop people personal abilities continuously.
- Assure the proper qualification of the work force.
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensure the quality standards in compliance with Embraer and Certification Authorities requirements.
- Organizes the preparation and correct utilization of the production registers and documents.
- Maintain all responsibility and accountability including the maintain and preservation of all, tooling and production equipment.
- Manage and supervise all production building maintenance activities.
- Develop and control annual budgets for the department.
- Support external customer’s installation and preservation of quality within the product life cycle.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the Managing director.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 15 Years of Production Experience (seating background is a requirement)
Knowledge:
- Lean manufacturing background
- Production Rate Readiness, Standardization, Six Sigma experience
- Aircraft Seating and Interior Furniture Manufacturing Background
- Proactive / Progressive Problem-Solving experience
- Production Line Development/Establishment Experience
- AS9100 Audit Experience
