You will be the Mission Area Manufacturing Manager for the Fabrication Operations team. Our team is responsible for delivering high quality fabricated components for the Sensor Integration & Test Center (SITC) portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
As the mission area manager you will be responsible for leading program execution across the Fabrication Operations portfolio and serving as a senior staff member within SITC.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Direct L4 and L3 leaders and coordinate the touch workforce to meet program objectives.
- Manage schedule, cost, and performance metrics to ensure on time, on budget delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technical innovation in fabrication processes.
- Provide financial and resource guidance to project teams and senior leadership.
- Represent SITC senior staff in cross functional forums and stakeholder meetings.

Basic Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment, or 6 years of other relevant leadership experience.
Experience with leading a team that includes individual contributors and managers
Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a workforce with a variety of technical skills, through dynamic technical, cost, and schedule challenges.
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-paced environment and demonstrated ability to make decisions, delegate responsibilities, take ownership for deliverables, and execute through effective communications in both factory and leadership settings.
Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of leadership in a highly regulated precision manufacturing environment and proven ability to lead high expectation, high performing, and high morale teams.
Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering degree
Experience working in a production environment
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
OLDP, MLDC, and POLI graduates
Active Secret Clearance
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
