Position Summary
Promote and disseminate persuasive product knowledge (aircraft value proposition, technical details, performance, and capabilities) during all the pre-sales phases, encompassing all Marketing and Sales efforts. Deliver it through direct interface with customers, potential customers, specialized press, and market influencers at the highest levels to enable Embraer Executive Jets sales goals and market share growth, and development of a strong product knowledge base and sales technical support service that focuses on answering sales campaigns product-related needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary responsible for Product Knowledge (aircraft value proposition, technical details, performance, and capabilities) during the pre-sales phase, encompassing Marketing and Sales efforts.
- Engage with the highest level of aircraft purchase decision-makers (C-Suite level, High Net Worth Individuals, and Directors of Aviation) to deliver persuasive insights that drive their choice and purchase of Embraer aircraft in coordination with the CCO or Sales VPs.
- Lead, Develop, and Manage the Global Sales Engineering team, co-located in Melbourne (USA), Paris, and Singapore, composed of Senior Sales Engineers, Sales Engineers Level II and I. Develop them to participate in progressing levels of support, of all responsibilities and activities listed herein.
- Act as a primary external spokesperson regarding product details and their value proposition to the press, media outlets, trade events, and influencers’ community in general, independently articulating messages and points of view that promote the EEJ as the ultimate experience in business aviation.
- Communicate consistently with the Top Influencers of the executive aviation market – around 30 aircraft brokers and consultants worldwide – educating them on the latest updates on Embraer Executive Jets, learning their views on the market, and providing persuasive knowledge to enable their sales of pre-owned Embraer aircraft or their consultancy efforts to buyers of new aircraft.
- Elaborate the main promotional messages together with the Marketing department, jointly defining messaging guidelines of all public marketing collateral: videos, brochures, ads, and events
- Creatively guide the Marketing and Events team in defining agendas, experiences, content, speakers, and overall tone of Public or bespoke events focused on the EEJ portfolio education.
- Act as key speaker at Embraer-promoted events targeting sales and promotional purposes, focused on the Press, media customers, potential customers, and corporate pilots’ community.
- Primary responsibility creating and negotiating of the “Aircraft Performance Guarantees” - contractual commitments between Embraer and large fleet customers that state aircraft’s minimum performance under the customer’s utilization profile. Aircraft Performance Guarantees may include provisions for penalties in case the aircraft does not meet its standards, from minor financial impact to the right of refusing aircraft.
- Train the Sales VPs, Sales Directors, and broader sales & marketing organization on Embraer Executive Jets’ Portfolio and Services’ value proposition, ensuring they have sufficient product knowledge to deliver their results successfully. This encompasses initial (onboarding) aircraft training to recurring updates on the product, its selling points, competition, and overall marketing conditions.
- Be the primary responsible for the “Sales Support” service, consisting of on-demand requests to join demo flights, potential customer visits, route and economic studies, among other activities.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, aviation sciences, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a specialized sales engineering function.
- Aviation experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of Embraer Executive Jets preferred.
Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements
- Ability to work safely and professionally adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State, and Federal regulations.
- Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations.
- Travel 50-75% of the time is required.
