International Business Development Principal

Business Development Representative for MFC's Air Weapons and Sensors International Portfolio based in Orlando, Florida.
What You Will Be Doing
This role will be an international business pursuit and Capture Lead for the air-launched strike weapons and sensor systems. This includes air-launched and derivative systems, logistics support, future surface launched systems, and follow-on opportunities worldwide; extensive travel is required. Specific responsibilities include:
- Identify international hypersonic, strike missile, sensor, and adjacent market opportunities, establish and execute strategies to capture those opportunities
- Interface with the customer and shape their long-range weapon system and sensor opportunities, taking into account requirements, existing capabilities and funding availability
- Translate customer needs and requirements into industry based developmental and technical solutions in consideration of internal and customer funding priorities
- Closely coordinate with Program Management, their staffs and functional organizations to align business objectives with our customer priorities
- Identify new and adjacent business opportunities and establish the strategy for capturing those opportunities
- Develop and maintain productive business relationships with relevant current and potential international organizations, partner companies and suppliers to include Lockheed Martin partner business areas such as LM Aero, LM RMS, and LM Space
- Coordinate activities with appropriate US government offices and Country Teams to garner and sustain their support and to ascertain current status of initiatives within the US Government
- Secure required Department of State export licenses to market products internationally
- Act as the primary contact for customer inquiries, general correspondence, requests for technical and pricing data, and other business transactions
- Develop and manage input for the company’s Long Range Operating Plan
- Assist in proposal development for new and follow-on capture activities
- Develop overhead, capital and new business acquisition expenditure requirements
- Conduct business in strict compliance with all corporate and company command media and within applicable state, federal, and international regulations.

Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of business development and/or operational experience
- Must have an Interim Secret security clearance to be considered
- A high degree of flexibility and the ability to travel worldwide (approx. 8-10 trips international, 4-5 trips domestic per year) without restriction. Must be able to operate and thrive in a fast paced international environment. Must be self-motivated and able to operate with minimal guidance and succeed in a highly competitive arena.
- Superior knowledge of potential domestic and international customer base with demonstrated customer relations skills
- Ability to understand and interpret customers' needs and requirements and relate them back to programmatic processes
- Complete understanding of the International and U.S. domestic budgeting and acquisition processes and ability to relate those processes to shape our industry-based capture strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Team Player – effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals in pursuit of common objectives
- Deal closer – highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated capture expertise
- Operational fighter or bomber aircraft experience and/or knowledge of (or experience with) advanced weapons and sensors systems, launchers and weapon delivery platforms, strike/fighter/bomber aircraft and/or guided weapons systems
- Experience working with developmental defense programs and/or experience with cross business area developmental programs
- Experience with international foreign military sales processes to include U.S. policy processes, FMS case processing, director commercial international sales, international licensing, and/or major system acquisition
- Post Graduate degree in relevant subject matter

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
