Assembly Tech - Seats (EAST)

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform all sub-assembly and component assembly operations required to completely assemble seating and seating components.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and utilize pick sheets, trim/finishing drawings, work orders, and verbal instructions to assemble all components.
  • Setup and use all types of fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment.
  • Make all final checks and adjustments required for proper functional operation of details, components, and completed seat assembly.
  • Move materials to and from work position.
  • Keep accurate records and make reports in accordance with work performance requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • High School/ GED
  • Mechanical / electrical experience a plus
  • Structures experience a plus

Experience:

  • Generally, 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Basic Skills to perform basic tasks within the Technical Area assigned to in area of responsibility with assembly, mechanical, electrical or aircraft structures as well as able to use all tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Assignments require minimal knowledge beyond the assigned work.
  • Demonstrates correct understanding of routine aspects of work.
  • Performs basic, less complex and routine Technical Assignments.
  • Assists Journeyman Level or Higher Technicians on moderately complex technical assignments.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to lift 35-55 lbs. consistently during 8–10-hour shifts.

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
