THE WORK

  • Administers technical and skills certification and training for manufacturing environment. This includes soldering and inspection to IPC and NASA standards and administration of OJT.
  • Develops course content, determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Continuously revises training plans to meet evolving training requirements.
  • Keeps training documentation current and manages training records.
  • Maintains instructor certification ensuring site meets customer contract requirements.
  • Supports other Lockheed Martin sites with training initiatives and conducts IPC certification training.
  • Interacts with touch labor in day to day activities solving problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Interfaces effectively and diplomatically with touch labor, engineers, Customers and management when resolving quality issues.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of IPC and/or NASA standards.
  • Knowledge and experience in technical training and skills certification in the defense industry.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and travel as required.

  • IPC-A-610 Certified Trainer
  • J-STD-001 Certified Trainer
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Trainer
  • NASA 8739 Level B Trainer (8739.1, 8739.4)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
