Systems Engineer Lead - Autonomous Undersea Vehicles

Description:

The candidate will join the Palm Beach Systems Engineering team in the development of undersea vehicles and systems including Remotely Operated Vehicles, Autonomous Undersea Vehicles, and Manned Submersibles. The position requires experience with industry standard practices in Systems Engineering, with activities including technical planning, system definition, requirements development, system design and risk & opportunity management for total systems solutions to undersea systems. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, use cases, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into lower level requirements including hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Professional experience with SysML modeling language, and MBSE tools including Cameo and DOORS are a plus.
• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Ocean, Systems or Electrical Engineering required. MS preferred.
• TS/SCI clearance is required for this position.
• Experience with ROV's at a systems level.

Desired Skills:

• Undersea domain experience.
• Systems Engineer Lead will continue and build upon the relationship with Lockheed Martin customer.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
