Join the Digital Sustainment and Analytics (DSA) - Logistics Information Systems (LIS) Sustainment Team within Lockheed Martin, where we are revolutionizing our operations and business processes to deliver exceptional value to our customers. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Systems Engineer Associate to support our Sustainment Field Engineering initiatives. This is an entry-level position, perfect for recent graduates or those looking to start their career in systems engineering.

Your Mission:

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in navigating the program lifecycle, supporting development, software installation testing, deployments to customer sites, and field support for a wide range of Logistics Information systems, primarily the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN). Your expertise will help sustain the F-35 IT backbone, ensuring the speed, agility, and insights necessary to stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting/debugging, and mitigating computer systems and database anomalies
  • Perform in a DevSecOps environment and partner with other engineering disciplines
  • Field Support for site software installation and integration (some travel required <20%)
  • Root cause & corrective action analysis and documentation
  • Customer interactions with Military organizations across the F-35 global fleet
  • Collaborating with multiple stakeholders during early integration & testing of system install testing, Software code reviews, Software Release Dry Runs, and site Installation readiness reviews

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college in Engineering (Computer, Systems, IT, Electrical, etc.), Computer Science, or related STEM discipline
  • Experience with basic computer troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals
  • Ability to collaborate and integrate with high-performance multi-functional teams
  • Flexibility/Adaptability with type of work and work schedule
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required

Desired Skills:

  • Self-starter who identifies problems, determines, and acts on courses of action, and escalates to leadership when help, direction or approval is required
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software packages
  • Familiarity with scripting tools (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps concept
  • Familiarity with VMware, Oracle DB, Windows OS, Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes
  • Ability to work independently while multitasking
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Computer systems and equipment troubleshooting skills
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Familiarity with ALIS/ODIN Software Design, I&T, Sustainment a plus

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
