What You Will Be Doing

We are looking for a candidate that can lead emerging development projects to shape the next evolution of LRASM. The candidate will be a project leader with a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in ambiguous environments. The ideal candidate will have experience leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple projects, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to our warfighters.

  • Lead emerging development projects to shape future capabilities for the next evolution of LRASM
  • Manage cross-functional teams to deliver multiple project goals within cost, schedule, and technical constraints
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with future needs and prioritize projects accordingly
  • Work closely with the customer and program team to shape requirements, coordinate proposals, establish business plans, and negotiate new contracts
  • Manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Project lead, Cost Account Management (CAM), PI, or similar role with a demonstrated ability to lead a project start to finish within a defined cost and schedule.
  • Experience working on development projects and programs with a strong understanding of risk and opportunity management
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with track record of presenting to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and oversight, with a strong self-starter mentality
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance as well as a Special Access Program clearance.

Desired Skills:

  • B.S. or higher in engineering or a science-based degree
  • Experience in proposal management process
  • Experience with USN and USAF customer
  • Experience writing and statements of work and drafting Integrated Master Plans (IMPs), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
  • Knowledge of program and financial measurements (orders, sales, EBIT and cash)
  • Knowledge of DoD contract types (CPFF, FFP, CPIF, etc.)
  • Knowledge and/or experience with missile systems
  • Demonstrated maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in fluid or ambiguous situations

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
