The selected candidate will use systematic, science-based techniques, analytical methods, simulation, and critical thinking to inform and improve decision-making processes. This position will require frequent collaboration with team members and engineers in other disciplines. As part of the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Operations Analysis team, this candidate will participate in analysis to support requirements definitions, concept of operations (CONOPS) evaluation, and operational effectiveness studies to help shape and influence future capabilities of the warfighter. These impactful studies quantify the effects of payloads, weapons and tactics on survivability and mission effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Participating in analysis and study plans based on critical questions/problem statements
- Applying engineering-based techniques, problem-solving methods, and critical thinking
- Researching and learning military systems, military operations, and military tactics
- Simulation, Modeling and Analysis (MS&A) of military systems and scenarios in digital environments
- Analyzing simulation results using data analytics to help draw meaningful conclusions
- Participating in trade studies and performing statistical analysis
- Participating in research efforts and learning analytical techniques with research methodologies.
- Applying decision analysis methods to evaluate current and future programs

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
- Eligible for a DoD secret clearance
- Scripting and data processing experience (MATLAB, Python, or similar)
- Problem solving skills with an eagerness to learn
- Candidates must be able to obtain a top-secret clearance upon employment. This position also requires an enhanced security review in accordance with government contract requirements and it is a condition of employment that individuals hired into positions requiring program clearance obtain and maintain such clearance within sufficient time to allow Lockheed Martin to meet its business needs.
Desired Skills:
- Active DoD secret clearance
- Operations Research (OR) or experience in computer-based analytical tools
- Modeling and simulation experience
- Software development experience (C++, Git) and familiar with Linux OS
- Knowledge of data analytics, data science, and data visualization
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts, such as hypothesis testing and regression analysis
- Advanced degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college/university
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
