The Northrop Grumman’s CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Senior Cyber Systems Engineer to work on exciting new next generation technologies and their rapid deployment to end users. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Melbourne, FL location.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of Cyber Systems Engineering, Operating System administration, Virtual Environments, and security monitoring tools.
- Maintain availability of Test Station and Software Development Environment
- Collecting and reporting system data metrics
- Ensure systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans
- Perform Lab Operations Policy and Procedures as being executed and updated (E0-7409 and Lab Ops Standard Operating Procedures)
- Implement assessments of systems and networks within the environment or enclave and identify where systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy while generating Plan of Actions and Milestones POA&M
- Execute implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, participate in and document process activities
- Support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results and preparation of required reports
- Hands-on hardware, wiring, and installing will be required for test setup and execution
- Work multiple shifts and weekends as program needs arise
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a STEM field with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree in STEM field with 8 years of relevant experience
- Must have a Security+ certification or greater
- Candidates must have a current US Government Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment
- Experience in the management of Windows Server and Desktop systems, as well as a high level of expertise in VMWare applications and management. In depth understanding and experience in managing Linux servers and systems.
- Experience with the administration of Atlassian, Coverity, and Gitlab web applications, with a focus on the identification and resolution of performance issues.
- Experience working with access controls and comprehensive experience in utilizing monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nessus, and SolarWinds to effectively detect and respond to security incidents.
- Experience in the application of Secure Technical Implementation Guides and asset configuration management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have
- Previous cybersecurity, Information Assurance experience, and/or system administration experience
- Active Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification
- VMware environment experience and certification
- Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
- Experience working with DevOps Processes and Cloud Infrastructure
- Systems administration experience, to include VMWare, vSphere, VDI, and ESXi
- Understanding of enterprise-level computing platforms involving virtualization, distribution and high availability
- VCP (-DCV preferred) or VCAP certification
- A keen eye for problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional communication and teamwork skills

Primary Level Salary Range: $135,000.00 - $202,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
