Being the subject matter expert for the CREO software, the candidate will support the design team with development of plans, drawings, models, revise and initiate formats for parts, assemblies, and installation engineering CAD files.
Additionally, the candidate will effectively work with system wide drawing templates for use in CREO developmental engineering; create new parts, drawings, Auto-BOMs, assemblies, simplified reps, shrinkwraps, and generally supports team members with design knowledge. Complete layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices (ASMEY14.5); prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.
The candidate shall work under only general direction and can independently develop potential solutions. Must have a significant understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field applications for manufacturing applications. Will be required to support inter-organizational customer contacts.
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, and practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency in CREO or other 3D software packages
- Experience with large and small Tooling and Heavy Steel Structure Design
- Experience with packaging, structural and piping/fluid system layouts
- Experience with designing for various modes of fabrication such as machining, sheet metal, weldments and additive
- Microsoft Office Tools - Excel, PowerPoint and Word proficient
- US Citizenship required for this job
Desired Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in ANARK software packages
- Proficiency at applied Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with PTC Windchill
- Experience with Model Based Definition standards and use of 3D pdfs with Anark software or similar reduced dimension drawing software
- Excellent communicator, self-starter and must have extreme attention to detail.

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
