What You Will Be Doing
As the Calibration Technician Specialist Senior you will be responsible for applying metrology principles to AC/DC low‑frequency, microwave, mechanical, thermodynamic, and optical measurements while ensuring calibration‑lab safety.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform precise calibrations across multiple measurement domains.
- Maintain and enforce strict lab‑safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Document results and uphold quality standards.
- Support continuous‑improvement initiatives in the calibration lab.
- Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
- Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
- Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
- Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
- May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years documented experience in a Calibration Lab
- Ability to interpret specifications
- Strong background in electronic, electrical, optics and/or RF/Microwave calibration
- Physical/ Dimensional calibration experience Formal PMEL/TMDE training.
- Technical Associates Degree with 3 years of experience or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to obtain a secret security
Desired Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent computer skills
- Electronics calibration experience
- Mechanical calibration Experience
- Familiarity with Indysoft, LabView, SureCal, MetCal and Cal Exec and/or other automated metrology software a plus
- RF Calibration experience
- PMEL, TMDE background a plus

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
