Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Development Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base. This critical role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Essential Functions:
- Leverage substantive experience in cloud development with a strong preference for expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to build robust cloud-based applications.
- Ensure that the applications are scalable, secure, and cost-effective by utilizing the best practices and services provided by AWS.
- Demonstrate familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments, which is highly desired for this role.
- Engage in daily interactions with customers to understand their requirements and provide suitable cloud-based solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive architectural designs that align with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Develop roadmaps to guide the implementation and evolution of cloud solutions over time.
- Produce detailed documentation to support the design, development, and deployment processes, ensuring clarity and reproducibility.
- Deliver professional presentations to stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Adapt to support various mission areas, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to achieving mission success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- TS/SCI US Security Clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Cloud development experience with a strong preference for expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments is highly desired.
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based applications using AWS services.
- A collaborative team player with experience working in a dynamic team environment.
- Security+ Certification or any DOD IAT Level II Certification.
