Job Description

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist of Program Finance to join our team in Orlando, FL to support a defense program where financial performance, data accuracy and timely insight are critical to success. This role partners closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to provide financial leadership across program planning, execution, and performance measurement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an Earned Value Management (EVM) environment and can translate data into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making and forecast accuracy for Orders, Sales, Profit and Cash. This position is best suited for a proactive, organized self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, resourcefulness, and a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner.

Essential Functions

  • Strong knowledge of financial program performance, providing management with early performance insights, identifying risks and offering solutions.
  • Guide program financials including development of time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance and reporting and ongoing oversight of cost and schedule integration.
  • Budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support.
  • Development of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data.
  • Support and/or lead financial analysts with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), creation and maintenance of charge numbers.
  • Monitor costs ensuring that actuals are within budget.
  • Perform analytical assessment and financial forecast submission for accurate reporting of orders, sales, profit and cash collection.
  • Review and approve Program purchase requisitions.
  • Accounting data extraction and reconciliation.
  • Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis, as required to include customer reporting.
  • Provide training and support to PMO, CAMS, and peers with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.
  • Communicates within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes.
  • Provides suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.
  • Supports program team for Internal and external audits.
  • Support program and proposal teams with proposal pricing efforts
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Up to 5% business travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant finance experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related finance experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior finance experience.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • 4+ years’ experience using Excel as a daily tool and 2+ years’ experience using other MS OFFICE tools such as PowerPoint.
  • 4+ years’ experience with financial analysis, forecasting and reporting to include variance explanations.
  • 2+ years’ experience with budgeting
