You will be the Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Manufacturing Engineering group. Our team is responsible for delivering precise work instructions, advancing process automation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for converting complex designs into actionable production guidance and enhancing manufacturing efficiency across missile-defense programs.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Translate engineering blueprints and parts lists into clear work instructions.
  • Develop and implement process automation and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  • Lead root-cause corrective actions and Lean Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Design and optimize processes to reduce cost, improve quality, and accelerate delivery.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Position requires 3+ years of experience with a related Bachelor’s degree or a related Master’s degree

Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Experience writing technical work instructions
  • Able to work in a cross-functional, teaming environment
  • Detailed knowledge of GD&T
  • SAP Experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, concepts, and techniques
  • CREO/ProE experience with a focus on tool design
  • Experience working with electro-mechanical and/or optical assemblies
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
