Description:
Manages TacIRST Depot organization which provides a level of post-sales support and service to customer hardware, as well as engineering test assets for development activities. Reviews sustainment depot requirements and recommends support concepts and strategies. Establishes calibration requirements for systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to TacIRST proposal efforts.
This LSE Depot Leadership position will manage the TacIRST programs providing technical and management expertise in project management, EMD/LRIP contract execution, strategic planning, and capture of follow-on LRIP/Sustainment TacIRST business. Coordination of all activities and requirements with the TacIRST Program Management and customers. Candidate must be able to identify and implement sensor supportability and affordability design strategies to increase support performance value to our customers, grow the business, and position the program for follow-on sustainment contracts.
Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Specific Job Description:
Leads and manages the TacIRST Depot in Orlando, Florida for the operations of the depot to accomplish depot-level repairs for the TacIRST suite of sensor configurations. The employee will lead the depot team to accomplish tasks in repairs, refurbishments and modifications of sensor components. The position also requires the candidate to interface with the TacIRST program staff in Orlando or at offsite support/production facilities and respond to requirements for production, modifications, refurbishments, and repairs of TacIRST sensor hardware to meet contract requirements.
The candidate will also be responsible for all onsite activities which include:
- Receipt, storage, shipping, and inventory control of TacIRST related inventory and ensures all flight hardware related inventory is maintained and controlled in Asset Management System (AMS).
- Ensuring the receipt and shipment of all TacIRST related hardware at the depot and maintains direct control of all related hardware.
- Maintenance, repair, calibration, and/or replacement of test equipment and tooling and determine the appropriate channel (program, capital, overhead) for work to be accomplished.
- Assigned manpower budgets for the sustainment depot and ensures all operations are executed within assigned budgets.
- Providing status of hardware, manpower, and equipment to management and customers as required.
- Site administration, facility management, maintenance, security, Information Technology and interfaces with appropriate internal and/or external stakeholders to obtain support for continuing depot operations.
- Employees training and certifications.
- Compliance to all company, corporate, state, and federal policies, regulations, and/or laws for the control, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste generated by the site in the performance of its operations.
- Compliance to company and customer/contract requirements for the use, control, and accountability of Government Property.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Strong leadership skills with knowledge with proven experience in leading employees at technical and non-technical roles.
- Knowledge and experience in managing employees to accomplish objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements.
- Knowledge and experience in policies and procedures for the control of Government property
- Knowledge and experience working with hazardous materials.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Understand Supply Chain Management & stand-alone depot operations.
- Knowledge and experience with flight line operations, test equipment, and inventory control.
Desired Skills:
- Active Secret security clearance with 5 year background check
- Knowledge and experience of flight hardware and depot repair operations
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing employees to accomplish objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, develop and deliver oral presentations to senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs.
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
