Quality Inspector
This position is on a 1st shift / 10 hour days.

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting machined parts to ensure they meet customer and internal specifications. This role involves using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions, documenting results, and collaborating with machinists and leadership to address quality issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thorough, and committed to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, job-shop environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect machined parts at various stages of production using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
- Identify nonconformances and collaborate with the team to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Support first article, in-process, and final inspections as needed.
- Help ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
- Maintain the calibration and cleanliness of inspection tools and equipment.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a quality role within a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality issues.
- Familiarity with quality documentation, such as inspection reports and nonconformance records.
Preferred Skills and Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and a results-driven approach
