Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a hybrid Program Quality Engineer (PQE) and Supplier Quality Engineer for a position based out of Orlando, FL. This program is a fast-paced production and development environment requiring technical acumen and critical thinking.
What You will be Doing :
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
·Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer. ·Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production and supplier sites with reviews of quality data on failures, yields, rework, scrap, and non-conformance aging. ·Ability to analyze and resolve design, manufacturing, and process issues varying from basic to complex and technically challenging. · Identifying trends, assisting in problem resolution and ensuring responsible parties meet requirements and commitments. ·Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non- conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelors or Masters degree in a STEM degree, preferably in a Technical, Industrial or Quality Assurance related field. • Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection of manufactured products. • Demonstrated ability to use casual analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex. • Awareness of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management. • Ability to travel 25%-50%. • Must be a US Citizen. This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Desired Skills: • Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt) • Demonstrated team leadership skills • Customer Relationship Management skills • Experience working with Government customers • An understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
