Proposal and Affordability Lead

You will be the Proposal and Affordability Lead for the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) and Infrared Search and Track (IRST) Programs within the Sensors & Global Sustainment (S&GS) Line of Business. Our team is responsible for leading the proposal and affordability program across these advanced sensor initiatives.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Proposal and Affordability Lead you will be responsible for shaping strategy, guiding execution, and ensuring alignment with government regulations and program commitments.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Organizing and overseeing GSC proposal activities, ensuring timely, compliant submissions.
• Developing supplier RFP templates and leading central procurement proposal kick‑off meetings.
• Coordinating cost analysis, commercial item determinations, and negotiation strategies.
• Managing the affordability pipeline and creating step‑down plans to meet program targets.
• Collaborating with program management, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive results.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), with experience applying these regulations in a procurement or acquisition environment
• Working knowledge of standard contract types, FAR proposal compliance and price / cost analysis
• Team oriented with demonstrated organizational skills
• Excellent verbal, written & presentation communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of FAR compliant commercial item determinations
• Demonstrated contract negotiation experience
• Demonstrated affordability management experience
• Ability to work autonomously and represent GSC in program level meetings

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
