About the Role

This Program Chief will be responsible for the overall execution of engineering activities for several Sustainment Programs. As the program chief, you will be responsible for working with the Program Manager(s) to execute sustainment activities, scope and prioritize sustainment work, perform Gate E & F Reviews as needed, define and drive implementation of technical solutions, support customer interactions, and work directly with manufacturing to resolve issues and help ensure manufacturing is successful.

This is an onsite position based in Melbourne, Florida.

What You Will Do:

  • Primary engineering leader responsible for RLPM Development activities
  • Primary technical interface to Manufacturing, Program Manager, Customers & Regulatory agencies
  • Primary Engineering accountability for meeting technical requirements and program scope, including cost and schedule commitments
  • Responsible for ensuring engineering processes are followed
  • Liaison between VSL and engineering PEs and Leads
  • Responsible for maintaining Earned Value, Financial Management & Schedule maintenance for all related engineering activities
  • Risk & Opportunity management for related engineering activities
  • Lead & Support the program as needed, including other activities or tasks that may not be defined above

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role
  • Experience with Project Development within the systems, software or hardware engineering disciplines
  • Experience managing projects, including planning & tracking project status, creating & managing a schedule, creating & managing a cost plan, reporting to leadership, and interfacing with manufacturing teams
  • Experience supporting and interacting with manufacturing teams
  • Experience with electrical engineering for Avionics Hardware

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of RLPM
  • Awareness of DO-254, DO-178C, ARP4754A product and process development standards
  • Proven success leading engineering teams
  • Highly motivated & able to work across organizational boundaries

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
