As a Senior Project Manager in our Ports & Maritime team, you’ll guide complex infrastructure projects from planning through construction—ranging from local waterfront upgrades to globally significant port developments. Based in Florida with hybrid flexibility, this role offers exposure to a world-class team of engineers, planners, and specialists across disciplines.
You'll manage scope, schedule, staffing, and budget while upholding technical excellence, quality, consistency, and safety. You’ll also coordinate across internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, playing a key role in both delivery and relationship-building. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects across Florida and the Southeast region.
What You’ll Do
- Lead diverse projects in marine infrastructure and coastal resilience
- Oversee project financials, technical quality, and deliverables
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Jacobs’ global network
- Develop and maintain client relationships with public and private stakeholders
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team growth and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering field
- Minimum 10 years in consulting with at least 5 years of project or task management experience
- Experience with the design and design management of waterfront project design
- Strong grasp of contract documents, technical specifications, and client deliverables
- Substantial experience in the preparation of technical and cost proposals to deliver winning proposals
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (Florida preferred) or PMP certification
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
- Master’s degree in engineering or relevant discipline
- Track record delivering ports & maritime or climate resilience projects
- Experience with cost estimating and construction-phase services
- Existing client relationships with port authorities and/or other organizations involved in the development of waterfront or coastal resilience projects
