Description:
You will be the Optical Pattern Operator for the Optical Components Center. Our team is responsible for ultra‑precision machining and additive manufacturing that enable the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems for Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Optical Pattern Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining photolithographic production equipment in a clean‑room environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Set up, operate, and adjust photolithographic equipment, including coating, deposition, and cleaning stations.
- Align and load optical parts into fixtures, applying pattern and deposition masks with manual and computer‑controlled tools.
- Perform metal lift‑off, etch, and other micron‑scale processes while monitoring process parameters.
- Inspect parts using gauges, microscopes, and electronic instruments; record results in production logs.
- Maintain a cleanroom work area, follow safety procedures, and perform routine equipment maintenance.
Visual Acuity to correctable 20/20 is required.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with production equipment/test machinery.
- Experience with semiconductors, wet/dry chemical processing, or wafer fabrication/inspection.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process plans and flow diagrams
- The ability to work in a 1k cleanroom and wear cleanroom attire for extended periods is required.
- The ability to work with hazardous chemicals
- Basic computer skills
- Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens
- Must be able to work on 1st, 2nd or weekend shifts as defined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
- Experience with photolithography or metal deposition for EMI shielding applications.
- Experience with baking, coating, etching or developing optical patterned parts.
- Experience handling, inspecting, and cleaning optical elements.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
