You will be the Manufacturing Planner Associate for the Production Planning and Control organization supporting the Optical Components Center (OCC). Our team is responsible for driving inventory optimization, minimizing costs, and ensuring seamless material flow through the supply chain to meet customer requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Planner Associate you will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of optical components.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain detailed production plans aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and execute optimization strategies to reduce excess stock.
  • Coordinate material flow between suppliers, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Analyze supply chain performance metrics and recommend process improvements.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completed Bachelors degree
  • Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and basic formulas

Desired Skills:

  • Past experience with Manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience
  • Related experience in material handling, control systems and ERP systems (SAP)
  • Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS)
  • Green Belt certified OR ability to demonstrate knowledge and principles of green belt certification put into practice
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
