Description:
The Manufacturing Engineering Aide provides focused technical support for cleaning, preparation, and sell-off activities of aerospace systems and components.
Working closely with engineering and production teams, the aide reads and interprets complex engineering drawings and parts lists, develops detailed sell-off plans, and drives continuous improvements to make the sell-off process faster, safer, and more cost-effective.
The role also diagnoses incoming hardware, cross-references it with engineering documentation, and ensures proper incorporation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), rework actions, and part-completeness before disposition.
Basic Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support environment, preferably with exposure to electromechanical systems
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience reading engineering drawings and parts lists
- Experience reading electrical diagrams / schematics
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Proficiency in writing and creating process documentation / work instructions
Desired Skills:
- Pursuing a degree in a related engineering field
- Experience using CAD tools (e.g., Creo) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
