You will be the Program Manufacturing Engineer supporting Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) operations. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for complex missile assemblies, and we play a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges moving from development to production.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving improvement initiatives that support ARRW production. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting and participating in the strategy and execution of cost reduction initiatives across LM Sites and supply base.
  • Support design, fabrication, assembly, validation, and deployment of manufacturing tools and processes.
  • Influencing design for manufacturability and ensuring producibility of production hardware design.
  • Communicate risks and program status to functional leaders and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee manufacturing engineering processes and sit MBOM alignment.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Bachelors in a STEM related and technical discipline
  • Experience in manufacturing, process development, and testing
  • Experience with manufacturing tooling design and fabrication
  • Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, Work Instructions, assembly and tooling.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Production experience

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA) activities
  • Knowledge of automation and cost reduction techniques
  • Electrical or Mechanical Design Experience
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Experience with MPMLink and/or SAP

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
