Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Manager Project Management 2 within Strike Development to support weapon system fielding. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
This position is 100% on-site.
Travel up to 50%
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading and directing cross-discipline Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, technical performance and quality objectives
- Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop opportunities for sustainment initiatives to further enhance weapon system capability
- Providing Program Management and Customer leadership insights into fielding issues, concerns, gaps, mitigations and workarounds.
- Measuring and reporting program performance and an integrated view of contractual requirements that culminate in successful fielding
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
- Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
- Managing suppliers to meet program objectives
- Ensuring program team, including suppliers, understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
- Resolves issues in accordance with business objectives, strategies, legal requirements, regulations, contract terms, and company policies.
- Provide strategic vision for future program direction and growth

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in: project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
- Experience using program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management
- Experience in the Northrop Grumman Product Support disciplines and their relationships to one another and how they translate to sustainment activity for fielded Air Force Weapon Systems.
- A current/active US Government Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) and the ability to qualify for access to Special Access Programs (SAPs) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualified DoD Acquisition Professional, well versed in acquisition strategies to enable shaping and influential conversations with the Customer.
- Well versed in Air Force A-staff and Logistics Organizations
- Experience supporting proposal development and/or estimate for future work scope
- Strong problem-solving and organization skills in both independent and team environments
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, professional written communications (eg. Reports, briefings, status updates) and deliver verbal presentations to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, including senior leadership and individual contributors.

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,000.00 - $172,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
