Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager of Project Management 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals driving high quality program execution through their direct support and performance as a member of the Program Operations & Integration team. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
Due to the nature of the role, an on-site presence is required and cannot be performed remotely.
Position Description
As a Manager within the Program Operations group, you will provide input for a high performing team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring and reporting on the progress of program performance. The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success leading projects within cost and schedule requirements of a program. The position requires a solution-based philosophy and the demonstrated ability to develop practical execution plans in a dynamic and complex environment. Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, collaboration, and implementation of a strong operational program foundation with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers. Strong leadership characteristics are essential as this role drives strategies to meet or exceed cost, schedule and performance objectives. This position requires a candidate with strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to lead in an environment of continuous change. This position requires the ability to report at the Director level including status for Program Integration planning and execution tasks, inputs into recurring Business Unit reporting, and support of EVMS for Program Integration. Collaboration with program and functional leaders to develop and nurture a highly competent and engaged team that delivers on commitments and embodies “best culture” is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Program Management Office and Leadership to accomplish a variety of precise, time-sensitive monthly deliverables, metrics, and presentations
- Collaborate across Functions to ensure all objectives are met
- Assist with monitoring progress, assessing project issues and driving actions to closure to meet program goals and objectives
- Perform program resource management, including coordination of project staffing baselines and forecasts
- Facilitate Risk, Issue and Opportunity management
- Data synthesis, aggregation, analysis, and communication
- Organize knowledge sharing, assist with improvements to team SharePoint site
- Promote team engagement activities including lunch and learns, team recognition and organizational highlights
- Support new business proposals and facilitation
- Proactively manage strategic rhythm of the organization to ensure preparedness for program and customer deadlines
- Drive a sense of urgency and act with speed to meet all needs of the business and stakeholders
- Project and control account management
- Coordination across multiple disciplines and product teams
- Preparing status reports and maintaining detailed project logs
- Assessing project issues and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
- Establish and maintain the program strategic rhythm
- Review change board packages and assess for potential impacts
- Continuous process improvement focus
- Assist in development of program metrics and coordinate with Tableau administrators to build products for the program
- Administration of Jira and Confluence sites; adhering to and creating new process documentation and controls to ensure configuration control of data
- Coordinate and manage program meetings
The position will follow our 9/80 schedule and allow employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience as defined below
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working with and manipulating detail-oriented data
- Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to influence and drive results without direct authority of personnel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- At least 2 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

Primary Level Salary Range: $137,800.00 - $206,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
