You will be the Machine Fluid Maintenance Technician for the Fluid Maintenance Team. Our team is responsible for performing scheduled fluid maintenance, lubrication, and filter servicing on a variety of manufacturing equipment.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Machine Fluid Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for adding lubricants and coolant, changing and cleaning filters, and ensuring all fluid systems operate within manufacturer specifications.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Adding lubricants and coolant to machine containers according to schedule and manufacturer specifications.
  • Changing and cleaning filters, oiling and greasing machines, and cleaning work areas before oiling.
  • Draining, cleaning, and replenishing oil reservoirs, grease cups, and coolant pumps; checking coolant concentration and cleaning tanks.
  • Replacing oil filter elements and maintaining lubrication and fluid records and charts.
  • Reporting noises, excessive wear, worn belts, loose cowlings, and performing minor adjustments such as belt tensioning.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Knowledge of lubricants, such as viscosity and points of use.
  • Ability to determine correct oil filter replacements and administer the proper amount of lubricant to bearings.
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must have the ability to work 1st or 2nd shifts in accordance to the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Due to facility requirements, all candidates must be U.S. Citizens to be considered

Desired Skills:

  • Ability to use a refractometer to determine coolant concentricity.
  • 2 years of related experience maintaining fluids on CNC equipment or 1-year Technical degree or equivalent in related discipline.
  • Experience with Mazak mills and lathes, Mitsui Seiki mills, Hass milling machines or Tecport coating chamber.
  • Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of mechanical tools, such as wrenches and other hand tools.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
