The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). One of the program’s two primary operating locations is Cape Canaveral, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
Summary of Key Duties:
- Support all SV launch processing activities including; C-5 aircraft offload, transport of flight hardware, ordnance test/install, SV receiving inspection, SV mechanical handling, SV post ship electrical testing, propulsion system leak testing, propellant loading and pressurization, SV encapsulation, launch pad processing and launch
- Interface with 45th Space Wing organizations/contractors to plan/schedule range support to mission processing. Supports Satellite Vehicle processing by acting as the onsite control/authority from a safety/security perspective for all assigned processing activities
- Actively participate with LSIC/SVC during TIMs and various Launch Base working groups- function as an integral part of the team
- Review and provide comments to Launch Base processing documentation including; schedules, requirements documents, and processing procedures
- Gather/organize and update all the available technical documentation (requirements specifications, vendors cut sheets for systems, design drawings, maintenance records, acceptance procedures, etc.) for each system
- Gather/organize all existing operating & maintenance procedures available for identified systems
- Develop procedures and conduct functional testing for the systems installed at the processing facility supporting the facility readiness review process
- Support training and familiarization training of LSCI/SVC personnel
- Operate heavy equipment as required to support Satellite launch processing
- Wear breathing apparatus to support work in hazardous payload processing environments

Basic Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of prior experience with satellite processing operations and requirement documentation
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL Drivers License
- Ability to operate Forklifts, Aerial Work Platforms, and other heavy equipment
- Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly
Desired Skills:
- Active TS/SCI or TS/SCI w/ Poly
- Bachelors degree
- Proficient with integrated schedule development
- Maximo experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software bundle, Power Point and Project
- Class A CDL Drivers License
- Prior experience operating Forklifts, Aerial Work Platforms, and other heavy equipment
- Space lift experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
