ASRC Federal NetCentric is seeking a Kennedy Space Center Liaison at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Job Summary:
The KSC Liaison serves as a vital operational bridge between Space Launch Delta 45 (SLD 45), Kennedy Space Center (KSC) facility managers, mission partners, contractors, and supporting organizations. In this role, the Liaison ensures seamless coordination of facility requirements, infrastructure and utility activities, and mission support across KSC-supported locations. The position plays a central part in maintaining safe, efficient, and mission-ready operations while fostering collaboration between KSC and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- A core responsibility of the KSC Liaison is to provide direct support to Facility Managers for SLD 45-managed facilities located on KSC. Acting as the primary point of contact, liaison assists with inquiries, troubleshooting, and interpretation of facility management processes. Guide Facility Managers through the submission of work requirements, helping to refine scopes and ensuring proper documentation. The Liaison also coordinates the scheduling of maintenance, repairs, and project activities to minimize operational impacts, while delivering timely updates on work status, outages, and contractor activities.
- The role extends into infrastructure and utility coordination, requiring close collaboration with both KSC and CCSFS service providers. The Liaison facilitates communication among mission partners, facility users, and engineering teams to support planned and unplanned utility work. Track outages and infrastructure impacts, ensuring stakeholders receive accurate and timely notifications. Additionally, the Liaison contributes to long-range planning efforts related to infrastructure improvements and sustainment activities. Cross-installation support is another key component of the position. The KSC Liaison assists the CCSFS Liaison with duties that span both installations, helping maintain alignment of processes, standards, and communication. This includes supporting customer and contractor engagement, participating in pre-construction meetings, and coordinating project activities that involve shared interests or overlapping operational areas.
- The position requires regular travel to conduct site visits, attend stakeholder meetings, perform inspections, and support mission-related activities. The Liaison represents SLD 45 during interagency coordinated events and facility-related engagements, ensuring organizational priorities and requirements are clearly communicated. Routine participation in meetings is essential, including recurring coordination sessions, project reviews, mission planning discussions, and stakeholder briefings. In these settings, provides updates on facility status, infrastructure issues, and customer requirements, helping maintain situational awareness across the enterprise.
- Completes required technical, safety, mission assurance, and administrative training. Maintaining current knowledge of KSC and CCSFS processes, facility management systems, and mission support requirements is critical.
- Supports specific mission activities, including coordination of facility and infrastructure requirements for Launch Service Provider missions. They ensure facility readiness, access, and utility support align with mission timelines. Additional mission support includes limited but essential assistance that may occur at the Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF) and occasional coordination related to Patrick Space Force Base range operations.
- Requires strong communication and customer service skills, the ability to coordinate across multiple agencies, and a solid understanding of facility management processes and infrastructure operations. Able to interpret technical information and translate it for diverse stakeholders while maintaining exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The role demands independence, initiative, and consistent alignment with SLD 45 priorities.
Educational/Training Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree, Trade School and/or Military Service preferred. Plus, five (5) or more years' experience with facilities management. Previous supervisory experience desired.
Skill Requirements/Qualifications:
Current valid FL Driver License. Currently possess or be able to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship required for obtaining a clearance. This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s). Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office applications. IBM Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferred.
Work Environment:
Work environment includes office and field work including locations at KSC and CCSFS. Must be capable of driving vehicles, visiting work sites with frequent walking and some climbing of ladders and structures.
Physical Demands:
Frequent walking, sitting and driving. Climbing of stairs in multi-story buildings that do not have elevators. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders & stairs in minimally accessible locations. Must be capable of driving vehicles, visiting work sites with frequent walking and some climbing of ladders and structures.
