The Forge is seeking an E&T Manager to manage the support of efforts across production AI/ML consulting and data operations. This is an AI research and applications team developing solutions to solve the most challenging automated data analysis and machine learning problems.
The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and machine learning to drive data-driven decision-making across MFC engineering and production. You will apply advanced statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data from engineering development and production sources. You will develop, implement, and advocate for AI-powered solutions.
The selected candidate will also serve as E&T Manager for Orlando software engineers supporting the Forge team. As an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager, the candidate is responsible for providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
What You Will Be Doing
The selected candidate will report to the Forge Product Manager and support the development and advanced analytics capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership of individual contributors supporting the development of AI research solutions on The Forge
- Research and development of AI powered python software products supporting production needs
- Constructing and executing technical roadmaps for production AI consulting portfolio

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Physics or a related field
- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Clearance
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML research and development, with a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI
- Proficiency in python
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
Desired Skills:
- Must have the ability to lay out technical roadmaps and communicate those plans and solutions to both highly technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving mindset with the ability to create solutions to difficult problems often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, ambiguous or incomplete data on a rapid schedule.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships.
- Strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals
- Experience with AI/ML ethics, fairness, and transparency
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Experience in deployment of AI and statistical algorithm systems on high performance compute infrastructure

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
