In this role you will help shape the future of advanced flight training for the world’s most sophisticated aircraft, the F 35 Joint Strike Fighter. Your contributions will directly support mission critical training capabilities that enable pilots to operate safely and effectively in complex combat environments.
THE WORK
The Systems Engineer supporting the F 35 Pilot Training Devices Program will work within a collaborative, fast paced team to design requirements for innovative software solutions. You will partner with internal engineers, external customers, and cross functional stakeholders to verify and validate robust system designs and implementations meet customer and contractual requirements.
In this role you will provide technical oversight for:
- Visual database system requirements derivation.
- Requirements management.
- Requirements change management.
- System design development.
- System integration planning.
- System requirements verification.
- System performance validation.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience in implementation of System Engineering practices in performing one or more of the following system requirements developments: system design development, system integration, or verification on complex aircraft simulation systems
U.S Citizenship Required.
Desired Skills:
- Configuration of image generators for virtual simulation
- Evaluation of computer graphics generation
- Measurement and testing of display systems
- Computer graphics pipeline
- Integration of visual display system components into virtual training simulators
- Experience with documenting technical system requirements and traceability using with DOORS, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody
- Familiar with performing gap analysis between customer requirements and available technology
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
