Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Engineering Technician – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, FL.

The Engineering Technician performs hands on activities/tasks associated with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal protection systems application, assembly, and check-out operations.

This position will work a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off.

As demand grows, we can anticipate scheduled Friday workdays, the possibility of rotating shifts (2nd shift), and the need for overtime.

In this job, you will:

Install and troubleshoot avionics wiring, avionics LRU's and sensors in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and blueprints.

Fabricates, installs routing, clamping and wiring harnesses.

Tests individual and completed assemblies using electrical test equipment.

Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.

Mixing adhesives to bond sensors and hardware.

Perform electrical bonding and torque.

Mix and apply protective coatings.

Uses electronic shop instructions to review and record test data and acceptance.

Other duties as assigned

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.

No clearance required to start

Experience within avionics electrical.

Experience with electrical test equipment.

Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and schematics.

Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.

Proficient with manual and power tools.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

No clearance required to start

Experience within avionics electrical.

Experience with electrical test equipment.

Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and schematics.

Capability to understand and follow electronic work instruction documents.

Proficient with manual and power tools.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with Fluke Meter, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Dewetron, Automated Test Equipment

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
