Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineering Manager responsible for all Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for NASA’s Orion Program covering test labs across several Lockheed Martin and NASA facilities.

Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Kennedy Space Center FL. You will be working a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

  • Responsibilities include the management of cost, schedule, and technical commitments in support of integrated avionics test capabilities for multiple spacecraft in production.
  • Leadership responsibilities include management of the EGSE team following established procedures, processes, and work plans to ensure customer expectations and performance measures are met.
  • Organization reporting and status includes monthly briefings to the program and customer stakeholders covering technical performance, schedule, planning, and financial performance.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience as a leader that demonstrated full spectrum behaviors.
  • 10+ years professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Prior experience in avionics subsystems or electrical testing.
  • Prior experience leading, planning, and executing large and complex electrical systems development.
  • Prior direct customer interface experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience leading electrical ground test equipment design, development and integration over multiple site locations including customer facilities.
  • Strong understanding of Software and Systems Engineering.
  • Proven management skills in the strategic process of aligning organizational structure, strategic planning, allocating resources, and driving performance to efficiently meet program goals.
  • Subcontract management experience with internal and external suppliers Familiarity with NASA business and human space flight systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a collaborative manner to organize, motivate and lead teams to arrive at solutions that support the goals and objectives of the organization and customer.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
