Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Electronic Technician - Level 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Lab Test organization. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.
Please note: A start date, for candidates selected, will be determined after obtaining Special Program Access (SAP).
In this role, you will be performing a variety of tasks that will be done in an Electronic and Lab assembly area. You will be working with a team or individually in a dynamic R&D fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the Lab space including 5's and tool control.
- Assembling and building Cable harness and Rack assemblies.
- Supporting development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronic systems.
- Conducting routine testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, and developmental engineering tasks.
- Performing operational tests to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Diagnosing and isolating malfunctions down to the component level.
- Conducting engineering tests and collecting data.
- Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.

This role will be filled at either an Electronic Test Technician 2 or 3 based on the relevant experience required for each role.
Basic Qualifications
Level 2:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance or higher clearance, with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs, prior to the start of employment
- Must be willing to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and off-shifts to support the business needs.
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain the appropriate medical clearance(s), as defined per the customer’s contracting requirements, for the duration of your employment.
- Ability to wear a respirator or other safety gear
- Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 50lbs and work with hazardous-materials, in accordance with safety regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, and/or fabrication.
Level 3:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency with CPLM and NX
- Knowledge of schematic diagrams and other engineering documentation.

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
