Northrop Grumman’s Multi-Domain Command and Control (MDC2) Business Unit has an opening for a Director 2 Business Manager to join our team of exceptional individuals. The position will be located in Melbourne, Florida and report directly to the Vice President of Business Management for the Global Surveillance Division at Aeronautics Systems Sector.
The MDC2 Business Unit has annual revenues of $1.7B and is comprised primarily of the Development, Production and Sustainment of E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. The E-2D is sold to the United States Navy and international customers.
Critical success factors for candidates will include a dynamic leadership presence, highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, proactively deal with difficult situations and communicate appropriately with all levels of stakeholders. The candidate selected for this role must have strong organizational, problem-solving and closure skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and demonstrated interpersonal skills with different stakeholders and levels of professionals and Management. Training in any of Northrop Grumman’s common process management tools is a plus
The selected candidate will lead and have accountability for all Business Management activities supporting the MDC2 Business Unit. Responsibilities include development, monitoring and maintenance of Business Management processes, tools and procedures to manage contract business execution and Earned Value; oversight of proposal development through contract award and execution; oversight of cash collection; participate in generating and execution accountability of profitability and financial EACs; accountable for the Estimate-at-Complete (EAC), contract profitability assessments/reviews, and application of the Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS); participation in long range strategic planning process; communication with customer counterparts; support to Program Rhythm (Program Management Meetings, Affordability, Risk Review, EAC Reviews) and Global Surveillance Division Financial Reviews. Coordinate activities between Contracts, Cost/Schedule and Pricing functional groups.
The selected candidate will form a strong partnership with the Vice President of the MDC2 Business Unit and strong relationships with functional peers.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline from an accredited institution and 10 years of professional experience including working in a Business Management capacity or related field OR a masters degree in business management or related discipline from an accredited institution and 8 years of professional experience including working in a Business Management capacity or related field OR a PhD in business management or related discipline from an accredited institution 6 years of professional experience including working in a Business Management capacity or related field
5 years of leadership experience
Direct experience as a U.S. Government contractor with significant experience in program finance, EAC management, profitability and risk and opportunity management
Experience with internal audit, external audit, and/or other regulatory agencies
Familiarity of financial controls and SOX compliance
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA in business management or related discipline from an accredited institution
Experience with major captures, proposal activities, and business case development is preferred

Primary Level Salary Range: $190,100.00 - $285,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
