The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a Cybersecurity Support Technician to assist the Classified Solutions team. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Melbourne, FL location.
Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply only if they are willing to work on-site.
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform hardware/software inventory actions for all assigned accountable classified assets.
- Perform actions associated with the introduction and release of hardware into/out of restricted spaces.
- Assist with administrative actions including the maintenance of a configuration management baseline, the execution of a configuration control board, and other tasks associated with configuration management.
- Support the local account management process to include processing account request paperwork, maintaining annual general and privileged user agreements, and collaborating with System Administrators on the creation of accounts on classified systems.
- Perform system auditing using various security auditing tools according to published procedures. Record, maintain, and update records in the continuous monitoring system; Assist the Information System Security Officer/Manager with the analysis of anomalies and work with System Administrators to resolve problems and issues.
- Perform file transfers across various security domains in accordance with published Assured File Transfer procedures.
- Support the continuous monitoring of information systems by performing administrative tasks related to the testing of technical controls applied to the system. This may include administrative tests of security controls, collecting and reporting test results, and monitoring corrective actions until all actions are closed.
- Maintain accurate internal records.
This position may be filled at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications
Level 1:
- High School diploma and 0 years of experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum) to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Access Programs as a condition of employment
- Must have a Security+ certification or greater
Level 2:
- High School diploma and 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate’s degree and 0 years of experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum) to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Access Programs as a condition of employment
- Must have a Security+ certification or greater
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security+ CE
- Associate’s degree (or similar technical diploma/degree)
- 1 year of experience with IT and Cyber-related hardware in a classified environment
- Top Secret, SAP/SAR access, SCI access, and/or a Polygraph

CIDO
Primary Level Salary Range: $37,400.00 - $62,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
