You will be the Associate Manager - Supplier Quality Engineer for the Supplier Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing, modifying, applying and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially-finished or finished products.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Associate Manager - Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving supplier-focused quality initiatives across the product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead supplier audits, first-article inspections and product validations in accordance with AS9102 and other applicable standards.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve inspection, testing and statistical analysis processes.
  • Provide root-cause analysis, corrective-action support and preventive guidance to internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Mentor the team in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies and ensure documentation compliance.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

Related degree at the Bachelor level or above or equivalent combined education/experience
US Citizen: Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance
Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products
Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instructions and / or PO notes.
Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex.
Prior Leadership experience leading a team
Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
Knowledge Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Ability to travel

Desired Skills:

Lean / Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt)
Experience working in an IPT structure in a dynamic environment
Understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience working with Government customers
Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing
Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Demonstrated presentation skills

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
