Description:

Performs basic accounting functions including compilation of financial information, journal entry processing, reconciliations, and the analysis of data. Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Initiates and processes journal entries into various accounts. Reconciles accounts as required and resolves differences. Provides financial information as required to management. Uses various software applications such as spreadsheets and databases to provide supporting documentation for schedules and journal entries. Perform analyses on various balance sheet accounts such as accrued salaries and wages, accrued vacation, accrued payroll taxes, etc. Perform various administrative and audit related tasks for timekeeping systems. Participate in new projects as they arise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related discipline from an accredited college. Entry Level.
  • Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, Power Query)
  • Microsoft Word/Access

  • Strong business acumen and financial literacy
  • Written and verbal communication excellence (report writing, presentations)
  • Analytical problem‑solving and critical‑thinking ability
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Relevant experience or internship

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
